The XXIO 14 Ladies Iron is designed with a focus on improving initial ball speed and achieving a high launch through its specific internal construction and use of materials.
The iron features a structure called the Iron Version REBOUND FRAME . This design works by creating two distinct zones: a soft, flexible area and a hard, rigid area. The lower portion of the body features an L-Groove, which is placed even lower than in previous models. This low-rigidity "soft" zone is designed to flex significantly at impact. This flexing energy is then "caught" by a high-rigidity "hard" zone located at the rear of the club body. This system is intended to create a large amount of deflection and improve initial ball speed by preventing energy from escaping.
To optimize the center of gravity, the iron uses a New Cavity Structure . The face is made of a high-strength new material called VR-Titan, which allows the toe side of the face to be made much thinner. This, combined with an expanded cavity on the heel side and a narrower hosel, creates a significant amount of surplus weight.
This saved weight is repositioned into a High Specific Gravity Tungsten-Nickel Weight, which is placed low in the body. The goal of this weight placement is to create a low and deep center of gravity, which helps produce a high launch and fast initial ball speeds.
