The Dolphin Running Wedge DRW-225L is a purpose-built 39-degree wedge designed for female golfers who want to simplify their short game with a dependable "run" shot. Like the standard version, it is engineered for those critical moments just off the green where rolling the ball close is safer than trying to fly it there. However, this ladies' model has been tuned for easier handling with a lighter overall weight, a shorter 33-inch length, and a slimmer grip.

This wedge features the same "Quad Sole X" technology, which helps the clubhead glide smoothly over various lies—from fairway aprons to bare ground—without digging in. The leading edge is thickened to provide a buffer against "fat" shots, allowing the player to swing with confidence. Additionally, the "Shankless Neck" design shifts the hosel back to expand the sweet spot, offering more forgiveness on shots struck near the heel.

Despite being lighter than the men's steel-shafted version, the head retains enough mass to encourage a pendulum-like stroke. Paired with the lightweight 50g DP-251 carbon shaft, the club balances stability with ease of movement, letting the weight of the head do the work. The face is taller than a typical chipper, ensuring solid contact even when the ball is sitting up in deeper rough.
