The Dolphin Pitch & Run Wedge DPW-225L is a specialized 48-degree wedge tuned specifically for female players who want to smooth out their approach game. While it retains the stability-focused design of the standard model, this version has been adjusted with a lighter overall weight, a shorter 33-inch length, and a slimmer grip to make it easier to handle for those with slower swing speeds.

The club pairs a substantial head weight with a lightweight 50g DP-251 carbon shaft. This combination allows the user to feel the clubhead clearly throughout the stroke, using the head’s momentum to glide through the grass without requiring excessive force. The total weight sits at approximately 454g, making it significantly lighter and more manageable than the steel-shafted version.

Technically, it utilizes the same "Quad Sole X" found in the men's model, which helps the club slide over the turf without digging or bouncing, even on uneven lies. The "Shankless Neck" design shifts the neck backward to expand the hitting area near the heel, offering a bit more forgiveness on off-center strikes. Additionally, the taller face profile provides more surface area than a traditional chipper, making it effective for popping the ball out of the rough as well as running it up from the fairway.
