Yamaha RMX DD-1 Driver: Max Speed, Max Fairways
The Yamaha RMX DD-1 Driver is built for one goal: delivering maximum ball speed while maintaining the control and forgiveness golfers need to hit it solid.
Rule-Limit Speed with 8-Axis Carbon
This driver pushes the limits of initial ball speed, delivering the highest ever in RMX history. The core technology is its special 8-axis layered carbon face—a unique design developed in collaboration with Mitsubishi Chemical. Moving beyond standard 4 or 6-axis designs, this robust, finely layered carbon construction is engineered to minimize energy loss upon impact, ensuring virtually all of the clubhead's power is transferred directly into ball velocity.
Exceptional Accuracy on Off-Center Hits
The DD-1 addresses one of the biggest challenges for amateur golfers: inconsistency. Yamaha conducted extensive testing across a wide range of swing speeds (30 to 50 m/s) to develop a new Bulge design tailored to typical amateur swing characteristics. This scientific approach resulted in a club that significantly improves shot dispersion, meaning even miss-hit shots stay closer to the intended target line.
Stable Spin in Any Condition
Consistency extends to the weather. The face features a unique textured coating designed to stabilize spin regardless of the condition. This specialized surface reduces slippage, ensuring that the driver maintains predictable spin rates and a consistent direction whether the face is dry or wet.
Forgiving and Controllable Flight
While the head has a sharp, controllable look, it offers high forgiveness and a slight "draw" bias—the ideal combination for golfers who want to turn the ball over for a strong, penetrating trajectory. For fine-tuning, the club includes three weight port options: Standard, Draw, and and Fade, allowing golfers to customize the driver's direction to perfectly suit their swing.
The RMX DD-1 isn't just fast; it's a meticulously engineered tool designed to make high speed manageable and consistent for a wide range of players.
