The XXIO 14 Ladies Fairway Wood is engineered to help female players achieve a higher ball flight, improved distance, and more consistent strikes, thanks to a focus on maximizing face flex and stabilizing the club through impact.
The club is designed with a New CANNON SOLE . This structure features a deep, hollow space carved out beneath the clubface, which allows the sole itself to thin out and deform significantly at impact. This design accomplishes two goals: it enhances ball speed, particularly on shots struck low on the face, and it allows for a low center of gravity (CG) by expanding the thickness toward the toe and heel.
The Edge Cup Face is key to the club’s distance features. The area around the face's perimeter, specifically where the cup face is welded to the body, is reinforced to increase its rigidity . This reinforcement allows the energy to be fully contained and then released, causing the thinned-out crown section in the back to flex greatly, resulting in increased initial ball speed.
For greater consistency, the club utilizes ActivWing . This aerodynamic feature consists of raised steps positioned high and near the club's edge. This design stabilizes the clubhead during the swing, which is intended to help the player achieve a squarer, more stable impact. Furthermore, a High Grip Milled Pattern uses fine laser milling applied to the toe and heel sections of the face. This pattern is designed to reduce slippage and generate a reliable gear effect, which helps to minimize directional loss on off-center hits or in wet conditions.
Finally, the club head's overall profile has been refined . Compared to the previous model, the new shape is slightly more compact, which is intended to give the golfer a more confidence-inspiring, easy-to-hit visual profile at address.
