The Odyssey Ai-ONE Square 2 Square Max 1 stands out with a distinctive, large "fan-like" profile. With a body length extending approximately 10.7cm from the face, this design creates the deepest center of gravity and highest Moment of Inertia (MOI) in the current Square 2 Square lineup.

Like other models in the series, the Max 1 is built with a "Toe Up" balance. The shaft is mounted at the head's center of gravity with a forward lean, a configuration designed to minimize torque and face rotation. This specific model utilizes a new weight shape—elongated with circular ends—with approximately 10g positioned in both the heel and toe. This setup makes the head highly resistant to twisting, naturally discouraging the stroke from wandering inside or outside the target line.

The putter promotes a "straight-back, straight-through" motion where the face stays square to the path automatically. The shaft orientation also guides the setup into a natural forward press, helping to deliver a low, consistent roll.

The face features the Ai-ONE insert, which uses AI-designed contours to maintain ball speed on mishits. Notably, unlike the #7 or Jailbird models, the Max 1 features a solid construction and does not include the polycarbonate window on the back of the head.

The package is completed with the Stroke Lab 90 shaft. This steel shaft is lightweight (in the 90g range) with low torque and includes a counterweight in the handle, further enhancing the stability of this high-MOI mallet.
