For those who have not heard of Mizuno’s Bio Gear performance apparel it isn’t your average thermo underwear one would expect to wear during winter play. Instead Mizuno has built upon their virtual body design technology to help actually provide a tangible sports benefit while playing golf.

Made in Japan of  proprietary types of polyester fibers and several variants of polyurethane It feels like an extra layer of skin.  It fits like a glove very tight and snug over the skin yet not hindering flexability, a good way to sum it up is “smooth movement”.  During the first part of the design phase Mizuno used a computer to mimic and reproduce human body movements such as the amount of skin stretch during operation, common directions while playing golf as well as speed of movement making it now possible to squeeze out maximum performance using an athletes wear and that is exactly the reason all of Mizuno’s Tour Pro’s in Japan wear it.

Unprecedented Mobility + Better Consistency:  My take on all of this after using it for a couple of rounds not to mention for non golf related sports is that it keeps your movements tight with a controlled feel to it, now I’m not sure if that’s because I am wearing an extra layer of some high tech tight skin but my shoulders and back feel supported throughout the swing.  Without it my brain is telling me that I play better with it and this may sound weird but with it on something is telling me that my dispersion is tighter and consistency is better. Maybe I am a fool for thinking this but It’s really been helping my score lately.

Mizuno has also incorporated something called techno touch fleece and this is what keeps heat in when its cold and the cool in when it’s hot. Mizuno Bio Gear adapts to your body and regulates moisture and temperature as an inner fit shirt. Bio Gear will keep you dry and warm or cool depending on your bodies needs. It also protects from UV rays. Bio Gear clings and takes shape of your body without being restrictive and actually provides support for your movement.   That is the key, Support for your movement equals better shots.
