THE MIURA LIMITED PRODUCTION KM-701 – Katsuhiro Miura’s private label series

There are two Miura’s, Miura global which has aggressively expanded recently since it’s acquisition by Billionaire Howard Milstein and the Japan factory line up under the Miura Giken label. Both are equal and the same as far as quality goes with a few distinctions to be made in material choices and design selections. But whatever the case both Miura Global and Miura Giken are slanging some of Japan’s finest handmade golf clubs. No doubt!

Today we look at a limited production series designed by and made as the founder Katsuhiro Miura’s own private label. There are rumors he ground it but that has not been confirmed. The little red kanji signifies it is his own private brand series.

The monthly production is limited to 100pcs and they must be reserved prior. Sold in 50/52/56/58 lofts as those are the most popular lofts desired in the Japanese golf market.

The bounce is on the high side at 11/13/14/16 so these are very friendly for softer more lush conditions. Versus the MG-R01 wedge which is Miura Japan’s flagship model the KM-701 is based on a similar shape yet is longer heel to toe with the CG 3mm closer to the toe than the heel.
