I’ve always gotten many requests for a wedge with low bounce. How about a wedge with NO bounce. That’s what Maruman is now offering with their new K’s Zero Bounce Forged wedge. Maruman’s K’s Wedge line is double pressed soft S25C Steel and hand ground by master craftsman Kenzo Sugiyama.  All wedges are produced with 0* of bounce allowing precision aiming at the target with minimal resistance especially for the player with a more sweeping picker style swing. While the sole is flat and has no bounce, the leading edge is blunt and ground more than other wedges on the market to avoid any digging. A slightly wider sole and rounder head create balanced lines and pleasing looks at address.

Unlike standard wedges available today, K’s wedge uses a deeper hosel depth (40mm vs 30-35mm). Maruman believes this design allows for the neck to better unite with the body as one and increase MOI for stability and control. The curved angle on the hosel is the shape of the ball which makes it easier to use the wider area of the face and easier to hit lob shots with the face open. The K’s wedge also features a straight neck and non conforming grooves for maximum spin and a beautiful Black Satin PVD finish. These will be available this week in the Pro Shop with NS Pro 950GH Regular and Stiff to compliment the standard model K’s Wedge. I hope to get one in soon for some testing to see what kind of performance a ZERO bounce wedge produces.

    Hi If you read the list of conforming rules of the USGA the KS zero bounce it is a conforming club :There grooves are conforming. Can you tell me if I’m wrong? Thank you.

    @portabella:

    That’s interesting as Maruman does not note that the wedge is conforming and it was actually released originally in 2009 before the new groove ruling.

    I’ll have to ask Maruman.
