X-Wedge-MID12
2009 TourStage X-Wedge 101MID & 101WS

TourStage Golf has annonced the release of their two latest wedge models the 101WS and 101 Mid.  For those of you who dont know about TourStage they are the biggest golf club company out of Japan with the most sponsored JPGA tour players and a fast paced release schedule of product similar to Taylormade Golf in the USA. Their parent company is Bridgestone yet the products are vastly different and much higher end than its U.S counterpart.

The new Tourstage X-Wedge 101 mid features a mid bounce that is versitle for most conditions no matter where you play provided they or not on the extreme end of conditions like rock hard or gushy soft. The new 101 Mid is available in 50/8, 52/10, 56/12 58/14,  lofts/Bounce. We find it strange that they didnt produce a 60* but this is becoming a trend in Japan and the 58* is taking over.

Wide Sole Low Bounce

The new X-Wedge WS ( Wide Sole)  has a very unique design yet with very low bounce. The Wide sold is perfect for the rough and soft bunkers and is available in 50/4, 52/4, 56/6, 58/4 yet if you take a look at the image below its got some depth to it.

We should have a few of these coming in shortly for testing.  Lot’s to test, such little time…

Yup, and the coll thing about these X-wedges is depending on the sunlight hitting the clubs head the backgrounds tourstage logo will be subtle or stronger. It’s a cool graphic effect IMO and I also like how the finish is hazed or dull and doesnt effect the golfer like chrome and even sometimes satin does.

I play the Limited Edition 901’s and they are a very fine wedge. Nice to see TourStage upping the ante and offering even more sole grind designs. These will be winners as well.
