Tiger Commits To Playing Three-Weeks In A Row

alg_tiger-woodsWell talk about a summer surprise for all of us golf fans!  Looks like, if rumors hold up and Tiger sticks to his word, we might be gearing up to see quite a bit of Tiger Woods in the upcoming weeks.  Quite a bit meaning three straight weeks!  That’s right, back-to-back-to-back Woods.  That is, assuming he makes the cut in all of the events.

Tiger Commits To Buick

Nevertheless, word on the block is that Tiger has officially committed to playing in the Buick Open next week, from July 30th til August 2nd.  It looks like he’ll be playing in that event, one he’s actually one twice before, despite the fact that his endorsement deal with Buick actually ran out last year.  Apparently he’s going to be using the tournament as a touch-up of sorts as he prepares for one of the biggest, and final majors of the year, the PGA Championship on August 13th.

Bridgestone Invitational is Tiger’s Baby

The good news, however, is there’s a tournament that separates those two and word is that yes, you’ll be seeing Tiger Wood’s hopefully smiling face in that one as well.  That’s right, between the Buick Open and the PGA Championship is the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone, which just so happens to be a World Golf Championship event that Tiger has taken home top honors on a whopping six times.  Impressive.

Which Tiger Will We See?

So, brace yourself for an interesting few weeks of golf, hopefully we’ll be seeing the Tiger Woods of old that provides some of the most show-stopping and entertaining golf money can buy, and not the same Tiger Woods that struggled mightily at the British Open and ended up on a plane ride home two days earlier than anyone anticipated.  I guess we’ll see what happens, but when it comes to Tiger you can rest assured everyone will be watching.

Game on.
