I would have to assume that that will be the best performing driver head on the Planet because it is for sure the ugliest.

I hit this over the weekend at a demo day and I was impressed. It definately isn’t the best looking club ever but at address it looks a lot less goofy. The top has a texture that you focus on it and what you are paying attention to is more traditional in shape.
Well struck drives were long towering shots. I was hitting it 5 to 10 yards past the R9 supertri.

don’t know why people think this driver is ugly, i think it’s a very attractive driver especially at address, recently purchased mine and absolutely love it, balls jump off this club, easily getting 15 to 20 yards more distance on my drives now, even on miss hit’s i’m getting more distance than my previous driver. effortless to swing. it was between this driver and the ping g15, no competition as far as consistant ball strikes, distance and accuracy. would highly reccomend this driver to anyone.

played my 1st round with this driver on the 13/03/10 .I was very impressed with the performance .The ball explodes off the club face with awsome distance.

I’ve played about 7 rounds with this driver. I recently played the 09 Burner and there is no comparison. The Superfast driver is much lighter which helped my swing speed. My drives were nice and high with a slight draw. Gained 20 yards compared to the Burner. Love this club. Highly recommend.

Would this club be as forgiving and long as the G10 ?
As a lefty I cannot demo much clubs in belgium.

If you plan on buying this driver I would recommend an increased loft over what you normally play. Try the higher loft and compare the results. I love this club.

time to make those long drive bets with your friends, my pockets are definatly a little heavier! The loud ping sound is sometimes distracting

    Thanks, so I should take A 9.5° instead off my 10.5 ?
I allready have the pro launch red graffaloy to have a lower launch and less spin.
A gain of 15 yards would be nice.

The driver is lighter and the shaft longer, adding 7 mphs to my swing speed. You need to make sure you slow your tempo down otherwise there is as risk you will spray your ball uncontrollably. Not a good club if you already are fighting a slice.

Played 3 rounds with this club and got 20-25 yds over my 580XD. The club face will look closed at address. Went to golfsmith looking at the G15 and walked out with this club. As Steve said you can’t rush your swing, or you will lose control.

I have owned this driver for just over a months now.
Over all a good driver , being light, it makes me feel I have gained more muscle!
One thing I can’t understand is that Tylormade has even made the grip with super light material but it has not even lasted a month! Ihad to change the grip just last week.

I bought this club about two weeks ago and I can tell you it’s the best driver I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot; four in the last two years. It increased my clubhead speed by over 10 MPH and I get about 30 more yards of distance.
I hit about every club they had at Edwin Watts before I chose this one; there’s no comparison to anything else on the market. I went from a regular shaft to a “M” shaft, which is what used to be called a “Senior” shaft. I haven’t had any problems with control but I do tend to fade it a little more than I did my last driver which was the Taylormade burner draw 2007 model. This club is much longer than it was.

Walked out of golfsmith with a Ping G15 and lost 15 yards. Was using 07 Burner. Should i go trade in for the Burner Superfast? How does it compare to the 07 Burner? Any opinions would be appreciated. My email is [email protected]

This driver is absolutely incredible! I am in awe that such an incredible combination of distance and forgiveness is even possible. It is my favorite club that I have ever owned by far, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

My neighbor has one of these. He is a beginner (having only golfed now for about 14 months). Anyway, he is knocking the hell out of the ball with the Superfast (230-250 yards more often than not). I just can’t compete against it (I use a Titlest 975J 8.5); my best drive distances are around 220 yards. He is routinely out driving the other two guys we usually play with as well (and these guys have been playing for a couple of decades). I find myself trying to increase my swing speed (thereby losing some control) in an attempt to keep up with him… I’m seriously thinking now that I need to get me one of these, high price notwithstanding.

As I got older, and especially after shoulder surgery, my drives produced less distance. I have gone through several senior flex drivers with 12* to 13* lofts to gain back some of what I had lost. The last Driver prior to purchasing this new TM Superfast was the 2010 Cleveland Launcher Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 55,12* senior flex. Nothing came close to the positive results I got from the Launcher until I tried the new 2010 TM Superfast HT, Senior flex. Same swing speed was producing an extra 15 to 20 yards vs the Launcher. Those comparisons were done on two different fitting sessions at two different locations, and the results at the course were also the same. The TM HT is 13* so there has to be more to the extra distance than the 1* over the Launcher. The mistake most of us make is thinking what works for one person will give you the same results. I’m sure that the Launcher is the better choice for some based on their swing and parameters. The best solution besides getting some instruction is being properly fitted for clubs that work best for your specific swing and style. Instruction from a certified instructor is not just for those new to the game, no matter how well you are doing going in for a tune up evaluation will always help improve your game. With this new TM I keep my swing speed consistent to what it was when I was fitted for this club. I have a slow swing speed but get good results with the HT senior flex, a friend my age can’t get the yardage I get from this driver even though he has a faster swing speed than me. And if I really swing faster I lose yards and accuracy with this driver, just like I can with the Launcher. This is a great Driver for me and maybe for you, but go get a proper fitting and no matter what brand or specs matches up to you it will be the right club for you. Also stay away from fittings by the big box stores, there is always the chance that will push you toward clubs that benefit their bottom line more than getting the absolute best clubs in your bag.

My previous driver was a Cobra F Speed with a Stiff 90 g shaft. I hit the TM Superfast and I fell in love with it. My swing speed is 95MPH and this club is great. I have been playing golf for only 3 years and my drives are long with a slight draw. Last week I hit a drive that impressed my friends. One of the guys measured it at 305 yds. Also with this driver I dont feel as tired as I felt hitting the Cobra. If you are 50 yrs old or older try it.

Im getting older and my drives are not like they used to be as for distance. I think this is what i need to get my confidence back. Thank you! And i will post my review after i get it for a several rounds!! Thanks again.

i had bought TP superfast with a 9.5* and it does help me push for a 300yard drive with a slower tempo…anything faster will bring the ball far rite… but my real question is …i had bought a version with a fujikura shaft and a men’s version..but i noticed that the clubhead with the 3 red strips were silver on mine…and i dun see any of that on the internet at all…is there sumthing wrong????

Great club! I have been using stack and Tilt in my swing and this light TM Burner seems to fit the left favouring weight with no weight transfer from each leg.
It helps to feel the lightness and swing “light” as well! No throttle grip here, let the club float back till horizontal then complete the shoulder turn with wrists up, then through inside and the club has given me several yards distance extra.
    Canadian price? $250.00 plus tax.

I am trying all the drivers I can before buying one.
I ve tried the launcher DST, the G15, the nike squash, the hibore xls, theTM R9 and the diablo edge. The superfastis the one I feel confident with, because if I dont force my swing I can hit the ball straight right at a long distance. This driver is very tolerant and powerfull wich is paradoxical.
I am waiting a few weeks before buying it, because the price should go down a bit as the new models should appears. 230 euros in France witch is 300$ tax inc.
    Thanks all for your comment.

I owned a 2007 model burner an that in my view was the driver that stood out for me, I then went to a cleveland hibore xls an was very disappointed then went to a callaway ft-i which is a great driver I then went to a Mizunno MP 600 an that driver was unbelievably great I cant speak highly enough of it. I have recently brought the new burner it is a fantastic piece of equipment I would recommend it to anyone takes a few rounds to get used to but is a great driver the pick up in distance was around 25 yards the advice I would give you is do you need the extra distance? if the ping is serving you well why change it? if you need the extra yardage get the new burner its a great driver but the mizunno mp 600 I would recommend to anyone also

Bought the Burner SF (10.5 degree regular flex) played it the first time last Sunday. Gained about 15 – 20 yards and now I am only 30 yards behind my regular playing partner instead of 50 yards! My old driver was a Cobra M Speed which was so loud it was embarrassing. I echo others’ comments about swinging within yourself and not to force it. Just swing easy and the club will take care of the distance. With good tempo any club will hit straight but with Burner SF it will go farther. Worth every penny I paid for it.

i bought this driver and after 3 months of usage the shaft started cracking (the stock shaft) i had bought the regular shaft and i hit this driver up to 240-250 yards and have a 85-90 mph swing speed so if you have a borderline swingspeed look into buying a more durable reg flex for the most distance but if you dont want to have to worry about your driver breaking or cracking just stick with the stiff flex. overall this driver ets a 9 out of 10 from me over all sugest the head but not the shaft.

Your Message I have had the Taylormade Superfast Driver for about 3 months now
while I am very pleased with the driver I have noticed a fault in the centre of the face.
It has the appearance of pitting in the metal face.which could be oxidisation of a contaminant during the hot metal process.Has anybody else got this problem.

I’ve played a Callaway driver for the past 20 years. I’ve never had anything but a Callaway driver in my bag over that time period and tried many other Titleist, Taylormade, and Cleveland drivers. When I first saw the Superfast driver I thought it was the ugliest driver I’d ever seen and would not even consider demoing the thing. One of my playing partners got the regular version and picked up several yards. Enough yards for me to take notice, at the time I was playing the FT-9. One day my club had a superfast demo available at the driving range. I decided to finally test it. I was blown away. I couldn’t believe the distance over the FT-9. I still hated the looks but found the TP version to be much more visually appealing. I pulled the trigger on a Superfast 8.5 TP. Now to be fair, I’ve made several swing changes, but I gained at least 25 yards. I left my playing partners in the dust, the biggest confirmation of how great this club is came from my bitching playing partners. The club was so good I decided to get the Superfast 3 Wood. I haven’t tried it yet, I wish it came in a TP version but it does not. I’ll let you know what I find with the 3 wood.

Can anyone tell me if the Taylormade Burner Superfast 2.0 is better than the prior model? Should a B grader like me get this model or the TP model if I tend to draw the ball?

Frank if you naturally draw the ball you might want to go with the TP (Tour Preferred) head which is 1-2 degrees open! Also the new Superfast 2.0 has a white crown with a black face! It doesn’t have the 2 piece head like the 2010 Superfast. Hope that helps you………
