Struggling Scott Looks To Defend Byron Title

adam-scottThe last few months have been rocky, to say the very least, for Adam Scott.  He hasn’t made a single cut in almost 2 months and has just been seeming to have all sorts of swing and game related issues.  Can he put them to rest and successfully defend his title at this week’s HP Byron Nelson Championship?  I suppose we’ll see, but it’s clear he has an uphill climb ahead of him if he is to repeat.

TPC Four Seasons Hosting HP Byron Nelson

Things have already kicked off at the TPC Four Seasons Resort in Irving, Texas and given the fact that last year Adam Scott took home top honors after shooting a final score of -7, and this year we already are seeing four different golfers sitting on -4 in only the first round, it’s clear he’s going to have to step up his game a bit this time around.  Sitting in a four way tie for the lead right now are Brian Adamonis, Scott McCarron, Mike Weir and Ken Duke, two of them already in the clubhouse and the other two on 17 and 14 respectively.

Adam Scott Waits to Tee Off

Meanwhile, Adam Scott is still waiting to tee off and looks to use this tournament to turn things around, right his ship and get back on track.  That could be a formiddable task as the TPC Four Seasons again made the list in 2008 for the Top 10 Toughest Courses on the PGA Tour.  With a par of 70 and an average round being posted of 72.028, it’s not the easiest course to get your swing or your game back on track.

Great Golf Being Played

There are plenty of great matchups and groups to watch today and the golf should be great.  If you’re not tuning in to see Round 1, you’re missing out on some great play and some increasing drama.  Anyone want to go out on a limb and make an early prediction on who will get the big check come Sunday?
