Prototype Preview: Yururi Chili Wedge

Yururi Chili Pepper WedgeYururi has had a slew of fantastic releases in 2010 like their 2010 Flat Back raw blade and totally redesigned utility wood.  In 2011 the first product on the table will be the Yururi Chili Pepper wedge.  It’s all about bounce versatility being that the 1 chili designates low bounce, 2 chili’s medium bounce, and 3 chili high bounce.

here are images of the prototype I was sent several day’s ago.  We have a ton of clubs in the pipeline for testing and evaluation so it will be a week or two before I get to this review up and even then the final production series may vary.  It’s forged of S25C in Japan.

Yururi Golf ShopMy initial impressions are that it’s a compact wedge designed for all levels of player, It’s got next to no offset at all and features a nice thin top line.  New groove rule conforming and although I have not tested it yet, Yururi’s have been known for increased amounts of spin versus other wedge companies.

As you can see this prototype has no paint fill,  The president of Yururi Keita Miyoshi is still deciding on the color scheme along with other minor details but for now it looks extremely promising,  I also like the fact that it’s 100% brushed satin.  Most wedge companies are going brushed/mirror combo.

Great looking wedges C! Actually like the clean look w/o any paint fill. Looking forward to reading how they perform when you get around to test them out.

Gorgeous wedge. I like it without paintfill. Agree 100% on the full satin finish.
