Nikon D5100 does Shinjuku

I went to Tokyo today to run some errands (seem to be doing that a lot lately) and decided to bring my new Nikon D5100 with me. I will be writing a review on the camera so I thought I’d better get some use out of it before I write my opinions.  I brought with me only the 18-55 AF-S Nikkor kit lens which is by no means a fast lens however for outdoor shooting it should prove good enough. Also with VR on the lens and the superb high ISO capabilities of the D5100, indoor and low light shots are still very good. Here are some pics!

    @Bill Kroen:

    In most areas of Japan, probably not, but this is Shinjuku afterall. Shinjuku is quite a mix mash of culture and commercial and even residential.

    @HM:

    They are both great cameras. The a33 is fast with its mirrorless system. But the d5100 is superior at High ISO.

    Its kind of hard to compare when the two are taking different pictures but I really like both. I regretted getting rid of the a33 but I’m happy with both the d5100 and X100 right now.

    By the way Geet is that you?
