Maruman has been making golf clubs since 1971 and has pioneered many designs in golf yet people don’t seem to know much about them. They’ve sometimes spread themselves too thin by trying to provide products for every segment of consumer, entry level/budget, mainstream and premium/high end. Because of this I think their mainstream line has never picked up as much steam as it should have especially in Asia, where Maruman is probably more well known for the high end Majesty lines.

At this years golf fair, Majesty did not really have any new clubs so the focus was on new mainstream Conductor models and they sure looked pretty good. Last year I tested the Conductor LX460 and I found it to be a pretty good driver with interesting feel featuring Maruman’s in house fullerene titanium and some pretty good straight line performance and forgiveness. This year they have released a new Conductor LX Deep, which forum member Stew (sup067) also tested out in the Maruman hitting cage. He hit the deeper face model very well with a couple of drives over 290y. The LX Deep actually replaces the LX460 and comes in 9.5 10.5 and a 10.5D Draw version.

Other new releases from Maruman include new Conductor LX Fairway woods and a utility which both look very modern and quite good. New Conductor forged irons were also on display as well as a brand new Shuttle hybrid iron model the i3000MX. Hopefully we will get a chance to test these new products out in the coming months! Look for the new Maruman products in the TSG Pro shop soon!

    Your MessageWhat is exactly new about the updated Shuttle irons ? The previous model, Shuttle i3000’s, would have to be some of the easiest to hit irons ever made. Interested to know what so-called improvements they have made to the new version.

    @Hugh Jarz:

    You will if you look on the Maruman JAPAN website.

    @G.:

    Hi G, as I mentioned to you by email the new Shuttle works in reverse from the black model in that the soles get narrower as the irons get shorter and they also have real traditional wedges unlike the i3000x that you have.
