Day 2 of the Japan Golf Fair is officially over. This year seems bigger and busier than ever, even with big names like Yamaha and PRGR missing in action (as they have been for a few years running now).  I have to admit while its been lots of fun, running around for 8 hours straight and snapping photos and talking to brands can be very exhausting. Chris and Jacque are equally worn out with tons of video footage and research done at the show. We were also lucky enough to be joined today by forum member sup067 (Stew) who hit clubs all day for us while Chris filmed him. Stew got quite workout as he hit clubs from most of the manufacturers that were able to slot us in. It was rather funny, with Stew being a bigger man and a foreigner here in Japan who drives the ball up and around 300 yards, how many times we got asked “Is he someone famous?”, “Is he a foreign pro?” It was rather amusing.

We’ve also been lucky enough to run into members of our forum as well as customers of Tourspecgolf.com. I guess it helped that I occasionally post my mug on the blog here as they surprisingly recognized me. It’s always great to meet up with fellow enthusiasts. Especially those who fly in from other parts of the world for the Fair. I was able to take a picture with Budi and Sigit who joined us from Indonesia.  It was great to meet you guys and hope you had lots of fun at the show!

Today I also decided to take pictures of the Golf Fair Girls just like I did at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2011, however it turned out much more difficult than I had expected. Unlike the Auto Salon where half the people are there to take pictures of the race queens (many of who are professional models), the Golf Fair brings actual golf enthusiasts and golf businessmen so there was pretty much no one taking pictures of the girls.  Haha I guess I got embarrassed and ended up taking very few pictures of the girls. Since there were so few, the pictures were very easy to resize and throw up here so I thought I would post them now instead of last like I do each year.

In the next few days we have tons of pictures to edit and tons of posts to make. Chris will have his hands full with more video footage than we have ever had in the past. I’ve got about 1700 images to go through and sort out so be sure to check in regularly for updates! Tomorrow I’ll be posting up Taylormade Japan, Fourteen Golf, ONOFF and a few others! I also have tons of email to catch up on so those waiting for a reply thanks for your patience!

Here are some the golf girl pics from the show! Please click on the album below to view them!

    @Leonard P.:

    Hi Leonard, they only had tour bags there unfortunately but I did ask a rep there about that back and while he has no official comparison ie volume of storage, the new bag may have more due to the slightly larger side pockets, but it will not be a huge difference. Afterall, the stand bags are designed with portability and carrying in mind so they have their limits storage wise. Manufacturers pretty much figure if a player needs more storage they would go to a larger bag, ie cart or full caddy bag.
