Japan Golf Fair 2016 – Bridgestone Golf had an impressive line up featuring all of it’s global offerings along with some Japanese exclusive models along with a very cool custom color club system that TSG members will be happy to have. What’s that black driver above? Looks like darth vadars helmet doesn’t it? It’s the Japan Only J015 Series and there are fairway woods, hybrids, irons and wedges to follow after the Jump..
Allow me to give you some info on the J015 Driver and series, first it’s only available by visiting Japan and hunting down a Bridgestone fitting account how unfortunate as TSG’ers would love to have these in their bag, next is these are based on older TourStage molds just updated for 2015. The Driver & Irons are for sure made at endo as the Driver uses KS100 VL Titanium which only comes from Endo it’s a 450cc driver designed for the pro level player it’s low spin & low launch and supposed to be workable for it’s size it is not geared toward the slower swinger or someone seeking forgiveness. The face has laser etched milling to help reduce spin and play well with a moist or wet face.
J015CB – Looks great doesn’t it and this one is based on an older TourStage X-Blade CB almost identical but it was one of my favorite designs of the X-CB so nice to see it back, it’s a dark color finish satin where you would see it and mirror on the back face. It’s a compact players CB with a very thin almost blade like top line and minimal offset.
The J015 Fairway Wood is sleek and sexy it’s based on a previous version of the X-FW and very compact.
J015 Hybrid Below
The J015 Wedge has a shape to die for, a milled face that looks amazing, it’s head is small and top line thin.
Here is something to be excited about TSG will begin offering full custom color & spec Bridgestone gear where you can choose the head/ferrule/grip colors and soon even custom ion plated colored steel shafts attached to these clubs, below we have a ton of examples of whats coming!
As you can see below custom ferrule, paint fill and a matching style grip.

It’s pretty cool that PHYZ still exists it’s for the slower swinger and female player, I would think they would have phased these out along with TourStage.

What is the lead time on the custom colors and paintfill?

My daughter would get the irons in rainbow. Are these available in all models? Lady clubs too?
meh. more colorful golf clubs even onoffs wood finishes are not good. They should stick with the tried and true.
