There’s been a lot of demand for Gold’s Factory modified Scotty Camerons lately as witnessed by how fast the ones we threw up in the pro shop sold (3 putters sold the night I listed them for sale!).  The work by Gold’s is very professional and for many it’s easier to buy a whole putter modded by Gold’s as new rather than send in a used putter for modifications and refinish.

Here’s a look at how Gold’s gets the putter looking like it never had a crank hosel and a perfectly smooth top line after the CH neck is cut off.

Gold’s starts with the grinding down of the remements of the neck stub on the grinding wheel.

Then comes the fine grinding on the belt sander, switching each time to more fine grit for a smoother and cleaner shine and finish:

We’ve also got another one off modified putter similar to the Studio Style that went in one night. This one has a few more mods including the custom weights on the bottom, new premium zone SUS insert, bullet weighting on the bumpers and new orichalum inserts on the face.

Total Weight: 552g
Head Weight: 370g
Swing Weight: E4.4
Lie Angle: 71.5°
Loft Angle(Sole): 6°
Real Loft Angle: 5°
Face Angle: 4°(open)
Frequency: 345cpm
Shaft: Gold’s Factory Original(34inch)
Grip: Gold’s Factory Original(Black)
Head Cover: Gold’s Factory Original

i like watching those clubmaking videos, makes you appreciate the skill and effort and human touch that goes into those things comparing to factory stamped copy of a copy.

Very nice! I have a Studio Style (My 1st putter) that I’ve been thinking of sending in but now that the Master is selling modified ones, you’re right that it would be more convenient just to get one from the shop…

Do the bullet weighting on the bumpers affect anything else besides the overall weight of the putter?
