Last month we began offering custom Mizuno irons through the TSG Pro shop and several long time members of our site decided to order their dream irons.  Every order takes around 4 weeks and today our first finished order arrived for forum member and long time customer jimmieboi.

Here are his specs:

Mizuno MP-69 5-PW
Twilight Finish
+0.5mm FP (Less offset)
69-ANAME612 Stamping
DELETE Grain Flow Forged AND Model Number
ENGRAVE NAME: JIMMIEBOI
No Paintfill for Mizuno and Runbird Logo or sole number
Sky Blue paintfill for JIMMIEBOI
1.5* Flat
1.0* Stronger Loft
Nippon Modus3 TOUR X Flex
Iomic Sticky 2.3 Sky Blue Grips to match the paintfill
37.75” 5 iron Length
D3

This was my first time seeing the Twilight finish, which is like a dark chrome, in real life. I’m usually not a fan of mirror chrome type finishes but this iron looks classy and I really like its look. The sky blue paintfill is a nice touch especially matched with the sky blue Iomic shafts and NO paintfill for the Mizuno logos and iron number.

jimmieboi did go for the less offset option and also deleted the grain flow forged and model number on the iron. Because this is a custom order and the markings are different from the standard which is what the USGA uses for identifying conforming heads, Mizuno marks the back of the neck with 2010C meaning it conforms to the 2010 groove ruling. This is what they do for tour pro models that are also customized visually.

jimmieboi shafted his set with Nippon Modus3 Tour X Flex and as I mentioned above, had Mizuno install sky blue Iomics to match the paintfill which is a very nice touch. Overall we are very happy with the way this set came out! Stay tuned for more special orders which we will post about as they arrive!

Hi there, it seems to me that you do not carry Mizuno irons in your pro shop. This irons look amazing, how much are they and in what way I can order a set?

      Hi John,

We carry all Japan only models for Mizuno:

All current models offered in Japan (this includes global models) are available for customization directly from Yoro:

I’ve used a previous model of the Mizuono MP irons. They are a brilliant golf iron and really come off the club face well when hit right. I actually noticed an increase in distance with these irons compared to my old clubs.

I can only imagine the newer model would be even better.

Great looking custom mizzies! These are beautiful! I like your custom options with your name stamped on the back. I am glad to see people getting custom ordered mizzie clubs.. It is one things that make them unique (and better) than all the other standard off-the-shelf clubs you find in most people’s bags.

I used to own Twilight MP67s.. I really liked their dark shine.. i got rid of the MP67s and upgraded into the MP68s in Black oxide…

They are some great looking sticks! As per usual Mizzy has some of the greatest looking blades. I’ve had all the MP’s from 14’s to 37’s. Just wish I never sold my 2 sets of TN-87’s. They were the best.
