xjaws_mainCallaway JAWS Wedge!

The Callaway Jaw’s Wedge is a new up and coming design for 2010 fully designed by famous wedge designer Roger Cleveland.

The JAWS Wedge features MD grooves also known as Mack Daddy Grooves that Phil Mickelson made so famous. MD Grooves provide a strong spin performance to stop dead on the greens.  These wedges are soft forged of S20C and rumor has it that they are Endo forged from their Thailand plant.

The theory behind the design is that weight has been moved to the top blade raising the center of gravity height for a more piercing accurate flight. The sole is considered C-Grind where they cut a good amount off of the trailing edge of the sole to the heel so that when he face is wide open it puts the leading edge very close to the ground making it easy to pick from any lie.

Available in 2 finishes Milky Chromium and Vintage Black. 52/12, 56/16, 58/13, and 60/13 please keep in mind due to the grind the actual and effective bounce is not as high as the numbers rate it.  Available January 2009!

These new Callaway wedges seem to have higher bounce which is unusual for Japanese spec and what is the story on the new Legacy Tour driver with 8.5 degree loft?

The reverse taper is just like the current Fourteen MT-28 V4 wedges. As for the bounce, those numbers sound right for this type of ,multi grind sole. When the Japan TVD was originally announced as well bounce numbers were very high but actual effective numbers were much lower and that is what the retail model usually releases with.

The new Legacy Tour gives lower handicappers and faster swingers a Legacy driver with a smaller head, shallower center of gravity equaling lower launch and trajectory. The head design is made for control and workability with fade and draw at command. Callaway Japan is also releasing a Legacy utility as its been a long time since they had a JDM utility.

New Callaway Jaws Wedges are impressive….I have been a Clveveland Wedge Player for years and these New Callaway Wedges are remarkably great to look at and they put more spin and make the ball stop and react more than any wedge I have played…..LOVE THESE WEDGES!!!!
