Crazy has a new driver that will soon be approved by the R&A, It’s called the CRZ 450 and it’s designed by George Takei & Crazy Shafts, yup the same Mr. Takei of the now defunct Gauge Design Japan, later G-Field Golf, and now in business George Spirits.

The face is made of pure Japanese DAT55G which is pretty much the “IN” material to use in a driver as even the popular Kamui Custom heads use the same in their faces. DAT55G also creates a very good feel and sound at impact. The Body is made of 6-4 Forged Titanium.

Crazy previously worked with J-Beam to make their CRZ 435 (445cc) model which is still ranked #1 by several independent rating crews in Japan. The new CRZ 450(448cc) looks almost exactly like the J-Beam except with a different shape yet only sit’s 3 cc’s larger.

The design and black smoked look In my opinion match the style and theme of the Crazy Shaft Brand very well. It carries a fair price and is available head only or with your choice of any Crazy Shaft.

The shaft most suggested is The Longest Yard TJ-46 The same one that makes the CRZ 435 perform so well also happens to work wonders in this head.  The TJ-46 is a new variation of The “LY” models and the difference is the TJ-46 is a little heavier while actually being softer in flex. The emphasis was in creating big distance with a square face at impact.  The TJ-46 like the rest in the “LY” series is also known for its feel, the butt along with the tip plays very active. Again try the CRZ 435 or 450 with the TJ-46 shaft option, the reports state that this shaft is the thing that makes these heads so hot.

Once the R&A approves it we can begin shipping it to customers.  I ordered my CRZ 450 with a Crazy TJ-46 R flex and will post a review in a week or two after more time with it. I know your wondering wha? Did I just say R-Flex, Yes I did because Crazy is best suited for hard hitters and where most other brands I will hit a Stiff  im usually a flex or two under with Crazy.
