    As expected, Yamaha is releasing stellar equipment. I like the fact that they actually explain their technology rather than hide it and just build hype. The drivers offer a wide range of choices. Nice to see the Tour model at 430cc and the regular V201 at 460cc. The irons look like a natural evolution of the 09s and 08s. Can’t wait to get them. The Power Spoon could be great. It looks like a shallow driver. Sign me up.

    If you look carefully to at the new V Forged irons, instead of the two fang like shapes in the 2009 model the cavity progresses up the face to be right behind the CG area. In the video Fujita Pro says this makes it the softest V Forged yet because there is more meet behind the face. The stuff looks awesome.

    I wish more manufacturers would make these kind of videos. Didn’t understand much, but pretty cool nonetheless.

    The V forged iron looks stellar!

    Obvious that Yamaha has another winning line up here. I think this year instead of trying the V-forged tour we’ll try the regular V forged model.

    Any release date yet?

    I saw the regular V Forged already and it looks great in person. The release dates will be spread over the end of November to the beginning of December. The pre orders will be in the pro shop in the coming week.

    Yamaha is another company whose products I’d play in a heart beat. The redesigned cavity in the irons will be a winner and the range of driver options should cover a broad spectrum of golfers and preferences. I’m seriously considering a “small” driver in the summer as our strong winds require the ball to be hit with overspin ‘draw’ to hold the line.

    I am 53 years old , 170 cm ,65kg , middle boddy and an average score 80 /18 holes , considering my body power ,I am seaking for better iron clubs to further improve my scorel and for easy play.
    My iron club is now using Titleist MB blade with True temper dynamic shaft, it is too heavy but very stable ,thus I am considering to replace a light carbon iron and prefer Graphite Design shaft. I tried Yamaha Impres X V forged and RC forged as well.but no final conclusion made on those clubs.
    Can you give me some suggestion on the suitable brand and model no that will be better hit for my condition?

    Thanks /Regards

    @DavidHo:

    Hi David,

    You did try the V Forged which is available with Graphite Design tour ad graphite shaft and is a very good iron with forgiveness and ease of use as well as feel and control.

    Another option is the ONOFF Plus Forged with Roddio shaft. This is what top Japanese golfer Shingo katayama plays and he loves the iron for its forgiveness and feel. the Roddio shaft is a special order made by their labospec tour department and is a top notch shaft quality wise.
