RYOMA’s 3 New Utility Lofts 18/30/34

Ryoma is known for making outstanding drivers, fairway woods, and utilities and along with their most recent release the Beyond Power Shaft they have also come out with 3 new utility lofts 18/30/34* which expands the line up to a total of 6 lofts available 18/21/24/27/30/34*.  Ready to see more pics?  Follow the Jump…

For someone who doesn’t know about Ryoma I would tell them they make some of the longest distance,  most forgiving and easy to use woods on the market.  As you can see these don’t look like your average utility woods of course due to the more rounded larger shape that has virtually no pear shape but also with the higher lofts you an also see a lot of the face at address.  The bottom line is the size and shape promotes a sense of confidence and forgiveness.

Many of our customers play this new 18* loft with a 42.5″ shaft in place of a fairway wood.  In fact Ryoma UT’s are known to play with more distance than other UT’s so that 18* with a longer shaft equals many of our clients 3 woods in distance but leaves them in the dust when it comes to forgiveness,  the 34* is the equivalent to a #6 or #7 iron in today’s lofts,  it’s really a blast to hit as it’s easy to fly straight and high for much more distance than an iron or normal UT can produce.

The 30* puts you in #5 – #6 iron category based on today’s normal lofts so if you have trouble with the longer irons and getting them airborne with consistency there is no shame in trying one of these higher lofted UT’s.  Maruman shuttle also comes in 30* but after hitting it against each other the Ryoma UT was much easier to hit straight consistently even as the swing gets a little sloppy.
