This is the new Honma Beres S-05 Fairway Wood, but not the usual 2 star model this one is obviously different as when you choose 4 or 5 star models not only are they more expensive with superior material ARMRQ shafts but also a world of custom options are at your disposal.
In the photos you can see it’s not your usual gold accented 4 star club we wanted something more stealth and dark so we opted to customize the head paint in matte black as well as the shaft and we will let you decide for yourself how beautiful you think it is, follow the jump…
ARMRQ Infinity – It’s the latest ARMRQ series shaft using an 8 Axis design combined with a new material by TORRAY called TT1100G what this material does is in addition to the high modulus carbon gives the shaft a stronger kick and more stability for increased distance.
When you move from 2 stars to 3 stars the carbon grade increases meaning you need to rely less on hand timing to get the club face at square during impact, same with 3 star to 4 star and 4 star to 5 star.

The Honma Beres S-05 is designed for the player who wants a higher launching fairway wood with great forgiveness all over the face, it’s not as workable as the tour world series rather it produces straight shots for the average player with it’s low and deeply rear positioned center of gravity.
Again 4 stars + custom matte finish makes it insanely beautiful. The Beres S-05 fairway wood uses a forged cup face very similar to what top end drivers in Japan utilize, behind the face is a unique face structure for more forgiveness yet on the crown and sole just near the face it’s thickness is reduced for more rebound and distance.
Usually a face this deep is very forgiving yet it’s hard to get up into the air, Honma has combined the best of both worlds making this large impact zone easy to launch balls high and straight for the average player to slower swinger.
Of course made in Japan by Honma’s very own SAKATA Factory … this matte black is drool worthy.
The Beres S-05 is slightly oversized, the face is a touch closed if you want players clubs Honma has the Tour World Series, for absolute forgiveness consider BERES and in between BeZeal is what you need.

This may be a stupid question. but what is the significance of the 4 or 5 star shafts? I seen the price tag and not sure why they are much more expensive esp the 5 star!
Hi S, It’s the same shaft but different materials are used. The higher the # star grade, the higher the carbon and what that translates to is having to rely less on swing or hand timing to square the club face at impact. So the higher grade squares it up for automatically for a straighter shot. Both you can request custom paint and head finish. But for 5 star, you can request EVERYTHING custom even the specs of the shaft to make it more anti-left or anti-right.
Wow very interesting. I seen what the 4 star head looks like on your site with gold color in the black areas. Looks very flashy. But this custom black color looks very nice!
