Mizuno introduces it's all new and redesigned MP Craft Driver for 2009. The new MP craft is a 460cc all Titanium driver available in two models. The R1 has a higher MOI style shape with shallow face and thin sweetspot area for mid to low handicap golfer looking for performance in an easier package. The R1 features a square angle face and is weighted to produce a higher trajectory straight or soft draw for max carry. The R1 is made with forgiveness in mind, for the player who wants to maximize distance with forgiveness and more ease of use.

The new MP Craft's are available with customizations from Mizuno Japan including lie angle, length and shaft. The standard lie angle for the R1 is 59* and is adjustable by + or - 1.5*. The standard length is 45". The standard shaft is the high end Mizuno New Quad 6.

Initially Mizuno will begin shipping on November 7th, 2008 with standard spec drivers. Any custom spec changes or shafts will begin shipping mid December. After these dates, please allow extra time for any custom orders as they will be built on order by Mizuno.

The following specs are considered standard for the R1 and will begin shipping on November 7th. Other specs chosen will ship in December.
