The Mizuno 2014 JPX EIII line up features 2 models: the "Hot Metal" and Forged models. It is a newly designed JPX iron that is aimed at helping the average amateurs achieve a strong high trajectory with exceptional forgiveness and distance. It features a s25c forged head for a soft feel with very consistent feel. The "Hot Metal" model is made to promote max distance while the Forged model is made for those that want the forgiveness along with max feel. The sweetspot on each iron is precisely measured out to be exactly on the same point of the face to provide consistent high trajectory with each club. Compared to the previous model, the face has been made slightly longer to give it extra forgiveness from left to right. It has a full cavity back design made for stable and forgiving impact. The face thickness is a thin 2.5mm and along with stronger lofts, it helps the average players produce enough distance to help attack some farther shots with irons. The heads feature a slight offset to help square the face at impact and a smooth, rounded toe line for a clean appearance.
The EIII irons come standard with a NS PRO950GH PM steel shaft designed for a very actice center to tip section to promote a strong high launch. It can also be matched with the EIII original carbon shaft designed for a high launch and soft feel.
