Mach Line shafts are hand made by NGS Japan. The NEW Mach Line PROTO series Driver shafts are NGS's latest high tech shaft. Based on mathematical calculations on the distribution of weight and shaft rigidity, they developed the PROTO which is 2-4g lighter than the standard Mach Line and designed the shaft stiffness for optimal kick and timing of unloading at impact. The PROTO acheives this by distributing stiff ness so that the T/C and C/B values are almost the same, making for a shaft that symmetrically loads and unloads energy for maximum release on impact.
They range in weight from between 52 and 67g with Low and LowMid kickpoints for high penetrating ball flight and maximum carry. The Proto is getting high raves among Pros on the Japanese Tour.
The PROTO 5350 is the most balanced of the three and lightweight as well. This shaft would excel for someone with smooth to regular tempo looking for a lightweight shaft that kicks hard and launches high for max carry.
The PROTO 7061 has the stiffest tip of the three and is for someone who has a harder swing and quicker tempo from the top. The balance and kick is still there but with a higher kick point made to prevent ballooning and shots to the left.
The PROTO 7080 is for those looking for a heavier shaft with awesome kick. The balance and stiffness distribution on this shaft has been optimized for feel with a stiff butt and soft tip.
