Came across this site a few times before drooling over Yonex and Miuras, but it has shown its true value in being the only site on Google apparently to reference Mizuno Masters Tournament irons.

I picked up a set today after some simulator bay time with them [clearly absolutely loved them], but still do not know much about them. Can anyone provide info?

Don't know what to think! Stunning like "why the heck are those being gamed in your bag" or stunning "neat find?"

Thanks for the positive feedback regardless! They feel amazing. I am not the best ball striker, and yet these feel more forgiving than most other irons I have hit.

Mizuno USA says they have no information other than it is a JDM "somewhat" limited edition iron based on a relationship with Augusta National.

Anyone have anything they can add?

Mizuno had an exclusive relationship into the late 90's with the Masters. They were able to produce Golf Bags and clubs with the Masters Logo (I had one of their bags). Around 1999/2000 Augusta National took over all usage of the logo for all merchandise. I do think perhaps that Mizuno can still produce a bag for outside the US.

  • What's in the Bag?:
    Wedgewood Gold...16, 19, 22, 25° fwy wds
    Wishon 870Ti...5-PW (27-48°)
    Kronus JK-1...52, 56, 60° wedges
    Tad Moore Chicopee...putter
That set looks like an absolutely beautiful "man-cave" or study/home office/library decoration, particularly in a real leather bag with beautiful persimmon woods, but I just don't "get" pure blades as actual gamers in this day and age.

Even still, I could easily understand buying them as decorative art.
