Bought the 2011 Onoff forged irons a few months back but being stuck in Canada, I haven't been golfed in what feels like years. Anyway, back to California soon (thank god) so I need to get these shafted.

I'd like to go KBS C-Tapers because they launch low, spin low and have that nice satin finish that would look great with the Onoff heads. Downside is that they aren't JDM - we're all sickos.

I'm also considering Shimada Tours or Pros - I've heard they feel great - mid launch, mid spin... don't know much else about them.

Was also considering Nippon Modus 3's - I've heard they're awesome but i've also heard they're absolute crap...

Lastely, True Temper Monacos - I've heard they're outstanding but they're flighted... not sure how I feel about that.

The 2011 OnOff Forged are supposedly one of the softest feeling irons ever so it'd be nice to compliment them with a super soft feeling shaft - but lowish spin/launch.

the monaccos are good mate. i dont find them flighty one iota, they are much nice than the s200-300-400 x 100 range.
but as u hit the ball so ahrd, the x 100 might be the go, they feel bloody awful, but in my yamaha tours and yonex ezone irons, i gotta say they are really really good performers, but feel shiiiiiiiiite.
the shimada tours in u can get them in x and hard stepped u will be ok, but the ones i use in stiff will most def be too flexy for you.
the modus like wise, get the top flex and hard step them or ull be all over them.
NS sp blue obviously spring to mind, these just work ,and for YOU, i doublt ull find better suited.
unless u can gert a set of protos form the tour. for you, the SP blue i think would be ur best bet

Have you tried both the C-Tapers and Blues? I like everything about the C-Tapers except that they're not JDM (haha) and the feel is apparently just "ok".
