The Crazy FX 435 performs VERY well but honestly, every driver out there these days performs well. The reason, at least in my opinion, to go JDM is knowing you have something unique and "feel".

I definitely need as low launching and low spinning a head as possible.

Anything coming down the pipe? I was thinking Ryoma but i'm sure they'll be popping out a Ryoma II soon..

Epon - feel would be awesome but again, i'd rather wait for something new...

The new Tourstage adjustable driver looks interesting...

Any other drivers coming out that look to be VERY promising?

Another thing... this monocoque stuff - in real world results, what differences are you going to see with a monocoque designed head over a regular forged head?

Thanks as always, guys.

P9003X over the Crazy CB-50?? Reasoning?

Between the Yamaha, an Epon 102 8.5 and the Ryoma, what do you think?

Thanks!

i have the 435 with p9003x in australia and its wya too much for me.
and at the hardest i can swing it just starts to get going. just
the 83 gram weight of the shaft has a lot to do with it, i went head to head this agianst the sigma noir , same weight and i think the GD is the softer feel but the better shaft to go hard at of the pair, and its more controlled of them, the sigma is a whip. the perfect club the crazy factory boys selected for me at 110 mph in feb last yr, was the sigma 50-435 head ,they said thats the perfect combo for me., personally i though it weas a tad too much. but the numbers on the screensaid otherwise. its was clearly the best perfomer for my swing. i just didnt like it,i liked the 425 and the 450 better.
.
ive had loads of differnt shafts in the 435 and for normal conds the original LY 01 was the best , its really light it was 46 inch tho, i hated that , thast why i changed it.
i hit the 435 the other day at the lakes, the aussie open course i took the 435 gd out and it was great , its so low its rediculous and so straight. the shape of the head is just perfect for the hammer time guys. much better thna anything else i can think of.
the ryoma, i think ull over power pretty easily. a lot of guys that hit it hard say this is too high spin. persoanlly i dont find that, but for distance id use other drivers over this, this is my best fairway finder but a few yards shorter than the yamaha and j beam i feel,
(enough for me to play othe drivers)
the epon 8.5 102 is another goodun, the ONLY thing i found i didnt like about this was the feel was really soft , i played it really well, and it went a long way, and not a low as ud think. its kinda like the yonex nextage form 2009 , i felt that i wasnt getting full bang for my buck. i was ,but it didnt feel like it in compoarison to others.
the best shaft i had in it was the quadra proto, that suits this head brillinatly. ull get plenty of rollout with this. and @ 8.5 the quadra just gets it a bit airborn for my SS so its doesnt wormburn.

now, the yamaha tour, its smaller than the rest at 415 cc approx. iits a rounded square body with a small elongated face.
i have 2 of these now with a crazy 80 noir and a crazy black 50 in them.
i like the black 50 best, it goes high. the noir is much lower and more controlled. can swing as hard as ilike at this with NO probs.

the 2012 yamaha tour head is my fav. head ive hit., the distance i get is terrific, its super solid in the wind and i can go hard or slow at it and get great results. its just not as thumping as the 435 but NOTHING ive hit is. but its damn close!
ikeep the 435 in oz to hit really low runners in summer wind on links tracks. i will use the yamaha for everything everywhere all the time
its a step up form last yrs, slightyl differnt shape, bit more compact, the 2011 was a great evolution form the previous yrs, its shape changed dramatically form 2010 and before, to 2011 and this yr they just refind it and made it more powewrfull
i WONT be buying another driver this yr .

the only other oine i can think of is the jbeam 425 tour thats a differnt look to the 435 that might work for ya. simliar to the 435 but not as boxy
but for this yr , the yamaha 2012 is well strikingly good.

Damn! I really appreciate taking the time you always do to answer my and other people's questions on here! VERY appreciated!

JBeam's don't come in 8 or 8.5 so that's out

The Yamaha Tour is interesting! Looks fantastic and it comes in 9* which is a little high lofted for me but I might be able to make it work.

I'd really like to own an Epon Driver again. I had Technity 5 years ago and my swing stunk then and I didn't hit consistently but when I did, the feel of that thing was the best ever. Without a doubt. No content. I'd like to experience that feeling again. Plus Epon can do custom 8 or 8.5* lofts.

I'd pick up the Crazy II as i've heard it's even lower launch and lower spin than the original 435 but the dummies don't make 8.5!

This new Tourstage coming out right away looks interesting too!

Ryoma - Thing's ugly and I don't know - doesn't seem like it's for me, as you stated.

So I have the Crazy Black 50 right now - if I went to the CB 80 LS II (that's Crazy's lowest launching/spinning shaft, right?) and it's 80t rather than 50t, what am I going to notice, in all seriousness? Any difference?

That would be my plan but the thing only comes in 10.5 for some ridiculous reason.

I would definitely shaft Diamana X with Egg Seven. I've been looking for a seven lofted club for long time since Titleist 975D in 7.5 loft.
