The way I go about testing shafts is hitting 4-5 balls with each in no particular order and then I go through the cycle again and again if necessary. I found this to be the best way to have a consistent and honest test. Testing these shafts was certainly a lot of fun. I found them all to produce strong consistent ball flights. As you can see from the numbers, the differences are very minimal. These shafts truely give you the ability to fine tune launch and spin along with the club head. Working with the Titleist 910 metals can really allow you to dial it in. I am a fairly consistent player and hit the ball with a slight draw a majority of the time. I noticed a feel difference between the Black and Red VTS. The Red felt more active and softer. The numbers reflect this slightly, but not nearly as much as it felt. I would love to have tested the Silver VTS to see if it bridges the gap between the Black and Red, like it should.
It was nice testing the Attas-T2 in this session to compare. I was very impressed with the stability and performance. This lineup of shafts from UST is outstanding and will certainly make a push on the PGA Tour this year.
Can't wait to test the hybrid and the Spin Wedge Proto shafts.
