I am on deck to have our Grind Studio wedges produced by Tomaru-san. I wanted to get your help on the build and all options for 2 wedges and 1 set of irons.

Everything is custom the wedges and irons should take about 8 weeks before completed. These are for promotional use and product photography after that they will be sold.

Let's here it guys! Lofts, Finish, Stamping, Grind, Bounce, and anything else you want to suggest. I'm thinking blades for the Irons but am still open to the cavity back.

    Which One??
I'm "designing" as we speak.

Of course I'm going to assume I'll end up with a set (wedges) when they're ready to be sold. :)

The hard part is the grind. Is there a place to look at them, the different ones a vailable?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but I'll throw my $.02 in. I'd love to see a stamped Shamrock with Japanese characters next to it stating "absolutely pure" or "pure everytime". The clubs would be cavity backs 4-7 with blades 8-pw, no paintfill and the finish would be satin. Lofts would be similar to the Epon 302's. Oh by the way my grandmother was Irish.

Thanks, I will consider a combo set for sure. Not so sure about a shamrock designed wedge for our promo sample.

Remember guy's these are REAL custom wedges unlike any other brand can do. Sky's the limit if you want something special.

I would just have the GS and GrindStudio logos stamped on the heads.

Maybe Japanese characters in place for the usual iron numbers.

I think a muscle back would be the way to go. The cavity back designs didn't appeal to me visually.

I'll give my input on the wedges. I'd love to see a 53 and 59 model offered. Currently playing this setup in my TourStage 901 X-wedges and love it. Also I personally prefer the numbers 3 and 9 over 2 and 8.

For the grind, need a lot of heel relief to be able to open up the face freely but want bounce when I need it. My current models have 9 degrees of bounce but due to the grind, I can use in most any condition. A multi-purpose grind is what I'm looking for. Also, would like to see more camber in the 59 model and less in the 53.

For the finish, I really like the muted bronze color in a couple of the pics shown. I'm not sure the actual name of the finish but it looks like a muted bronze to me. The only engravings I'd wish to see, are the GS logo on the back face, and the numbers printed on the grind.

Lastly, would really like to see a high center of gravity to keep the ball low (for a wedge). Combine that with KBS shafts and its a winner in my book. In fact just might need to seek out a few of these in the future.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

another one for the multibounce grind. i carry only 2 wedges aside from the pw and want my 57/58 to have a grind i can open and close depending on my needs. this will be a major factor in deciding my next wedge. non conforming grooves too for me at least.

clean face just the GS character. some kanji script too but clean
