I love my Yardage Book but would love to know if there are more out there who use Yardage books?

I've never used anything other than the little yardage guide that usually comes with the course. I have a friend who swears by that SkyCaddie thing, which is a lot easier to use I guess. Maybe I'd play better if I started keeping better track!

I would start using one when I get into the senior tour, in the meantime, a few sprinkler heads and the 150 marker would do :atsg_smilie_roll: In any case, I have played my home courses hundreds of times and I should know the yardage.

I use a GPS system, the Skycaddie 2, and think it is the greatest aide one can have for finding yardages. I know, there are purests out there who feel that a true golfer still uses sprinkler head markings, or 150 yard markers. But, these GPS systems speed-up play for slower players (I am a fast player and dislike long 5 hour rounds)who like to tramp all over the place trying to find the yardages and they also can show yardages to hazards which helps avoid them, also speeding up play. My Skycaddie gives the yardages to the front, center, and back of the green from any location where my ball ends up. A very nifty piece of equipment if you ask me.

Thanks Tourspec,

This one is actually homemade. I wasnt going to pay the 500$ price tag that the original came with.

Maybe if I get a GPS I'll make a nice little pouch for it.

All this talk makes me want both a SkyCaddie and one of those sweet yardage books. I'm impressed even more that you MADE it. Good Lord man, start a business and get rich off those...pretty soon yours will be worth $500.

That said, how much do the sky caddies go for?

Thanks for the compliment, these have been a hit with friends so far too.

I have recently made some cell phone pouches but no skycaddie cases.

If there is a particular model let me know and I can see what I can arrange.
