Looking for some advice on the best hybrid to replace my current, terrible, 5 wood and possibly 3 iron. Anyone out there want to give me some advice on what to look for for a hybrid that can do both?

Love some advice here guys and gals...what have you got?

Tyler,

I might suggest a 23* Nickent 4DX Model with a Shaft cut to 40.50". The face on the Nickent is square with no offset thus gone is the high hook of most Hybrids. The longer Shaft dimension should slot you between the 3 Iron and the 5 Wood.

Down the middle,

3-WOOD: Bridgestone J33 15* - GD Tour AD Quattro MD7x
HYBRID: Adams TourProto PNT 16* - Ozik Altus Hybrid 85s
IRONS: Vega Zestaim Fi-1 Dual Forged - KBS Tour X-Stiff
WEDGES: Seven Hills Proto 50*/ 56* - KBS Tour X-Stiff
PUTTER: Rife Barbados (White) - KBS (Black) Pured Shaft

The Shaft in each Club has been "Pured/FLO'ed" for peak performance.

Try hybrids if you like to hit fairway woods more than Irons. If your an Iron guy try the Epon AF901 or a quality driving iron. I find that the driving iron hits lower and more accurate and usually with more roll while the Hybrid wood type fly's higher, longer, with less roll yet easier to get up.

Great suggestion on the driving iron. There are a lot of great hybrids out right now that can fill that gap for you. I tried a few of Bridgestone's hybrids and they hit sweet and true. TourSpecGolfer is right, it depends on what you're looking for, whether it's ease of getting it airborne or lower trajectory and a bit more accuracy.

I have an Adams PNT in 19* that I dropped my 3 iron for a choked down swing or high cut with it. Absolutely the best hybrid I have played or tried, and I have tried a lot.

Adams has a pretty sweet line. They've been impressive ever since their first dip into it with the Tight Lies. That thing could hit out of ANYTHING. Maybe look into Adams.
