I picked up a good 2nd hand domestic version of Hi Bore XL last year but just found out this past weekend that the one version of the XL was ruled Non Conforming. Unfortunately mine has the rasied dot on the H and no CG on the heal. http://www.usga.org/...bs/20070381.jpg

What is the story about Cleveland making non conforming driver as late as 2007? I guess I miss the news on this one.

a lot of the the retail hibore xl heads in a 10.5* were tested by the usga and were deemed non conforming....wasnt really planned but the manufacturer of clevelands heads made the heads a lil too hot...

They certainly would be fun to play as long as you weren't going for a handicap or entering any tournaments! It'd be like playing home run derby with a corked bat :)
