A chat discussion made me think about probably my longest and luckiest putt ...

Was playing a scramble and the only one of us to reach the green on the par 3 that was playing 215 into a strong gusting wind was my tee ball. But I was way left and long ... the wind died right as I started my down swing. Result was a downhill bannana about 75-80 feet. My teamates said to me right as I'm about to putt "come on show us the way" .... bam I think I have hit it to hard, but it tracks right to the hole slams into the back and drops!

We went on to finish second by one shot while being one shot in front of third place.

I hit about a 90ft putt at Doral that went everywhich way but straight. It was pretty much icing on poop.

I holed out from about 170 once to a blind green. I heard the ball hit the stick but nobody believed me when I told them. I said wow that's gonna be close and we walked up and it was in the hole.

I had a tee shot on a par four saying it was 376 yds. with a little wind at my back. I just pummeled my drive right down gut and it hit something, and sprinkler, the 100 yrd. marker, something that we couldn't figure out. It could of been a hard sport in the fairway, and we looked around at the possibilities. Well the ball took the bounce, rolled onto the green, and we looked everywhere for the ball. Then the last place we thought to look was the hole ,and sure enough there it was right in the hole. Yea !!!!!!

:surprize:

I was playing in a 4 man scramble with some friends about 5 years ago. On the 10th, we were about 95 out into a good breeze. I said "watch this guys, I'll hit this sand wedge past the hole and watch it draw back in the cup." It happened. They were jumping and yelling all over the place.

Never had a ball go in from more than 15 yards out. Ive had 3 balls stop with in 6 inches of the hole on a par 3 2 took a peek into the hole. But I'd have to say the worst feeling of my good shot was during my first tourny in HS, I hit my tee shot on 1 a decent par 4 downhill, must have took a good hopp and the guys in front of us where on the green. I get up there i'm like hey guys did you see my ball there like its off the back side, it rolled right over the cup while we were putting. If the stick had been in it might have gone in.

Last week I played with my new boss for the first time. I birdied the first two hole, but the third was a short par 4 that I drove pin high right. Unfortunatly, I was short sided with a big 'ol bunker and a tree. I flopped it over the tree, the ball got wrapped up in the flag, and dropped straight down in the hole.

My boss was pissed. :money: :money: :money:

I was in the trees and had about 150 to the green with just a small opening to fade it onto the green, I decided to hit a low shot with a 7 Iron and it shot out great perfect contact hit the tree in front of me shot straight behind me hit another tree and right into the center of my back. lost my wind for a second.

I'd have to say my most memorable shots have been hit with my old Wilson Staff 56* sand wedge.

I holed three eagles from varying distances (75-100 yards out) on three consecutive playing days.

I was at work caddying and the 18th hold is a 130 par3 with water in front. The woman on the cart that i was caddying for normally shoots around 95 and says what club should i hit, jokingly i say DRIVER!! Next thing i know she lines up and hits it right into the club house, first thing in my mind is f**k but then i watch it bounce off the club hosue onto the green two feet from the pin.

( i know this is how u spell caddie when its singular what is it plural? caddying)

either of my two holes in one qualify as my best shots. One with the gap wedge and the other with the 7 iron. I guess the 7 iron shot is my favorite because I could see it go in (could not see the first but knew it after the shot) and my wife and another couole were playing with us and I got to share it with my wife.

I play quiet often with my uncle who happened to kick my A$$ for the first 2-3 years that I played. Well, I have been giving him a little payback for the past 2 years.

So we are playing a par 5 and I kill my drive down the middle and he pushes his into the water. So I let him drop and he hits into a sand trap near my ball. So we drive up and I am about 225 out so I grab my 5 wood and hit the most beautiful/majestic shot I have ever hit. Ball ends up about 15 feet from the cup. I proceed to make birdie and he makes a triple.

That's what we live for right there, that one shot.....

where i live, we have a mini par 3 course that i practice my short game on, 9 holes, no longer than 120 yards. ive come inches hitting a hole in one many times there, ive drained some 35-40 footers for birdie and chip in a couple times. ive never been very fortunate on the reg. course to do this. but ive made some 20 footers for par or birdie or to save a bogey. but my biggest thrill was when i got my nike driver. played with my dad. playing a par 5, i laced my drive about 290 down the fairway. never hit it over 245 before. not saying its the driver but it sure helped. anyways, ive never been able to hit a par 5 in two bc of my bad driving. well i had about 190 to the green uphill, hit a 5-iron to about 20-feet. missed the eagle but made a birdie. made me feel good hitting a par 5 in 2 when ive never been able to.
