Quote: Stupid Should Hurt

As I age I tend to get more philisophical about subjects that only matter to people who hang around sites like these when they can't play golf because it too freaking cold..so here's the latest..what IYHO makes a course worthy of greatness...is it because you play it well?, because it is maintained immaculately?, nice amenities, are the cart girls very distracting?, just what is it...just like to hear opinions of those hooked on the game like myself..

Definitely the overall course design and shape, the way the holes are laid out, the way the greens are shaped, the condition of the course are the most important to me. Anything beyond that is secondary. :D
