Hello GBS,

I noticed you have both a TS 58* wedge and a Epon 58* wedge in the bag,
how do you get along with either or both?

What can you say about the 701's?

Thanks,
Kent

Hi Kent,

Errrrr I was being crazy at that time. I bought a couple of wedges at one go. I just wanted to know how great the Epons are thats why i went out to get another and picked up the tourstage at a local store (they were on special). I have to say that the Epons feel, use and look better that the tourstage. I tried it to attack the pin and it stopped on the dot. Guess the tourstage will be bumped out of the bag. Yururi will be tested this weekend.

Ah the 701s, they are very soft and forgiving. Mind you that it is my first set of forged irons that i ever invested in. I tried my cousin's Miura as well a few days ago (i got him to get it) they are really nice as well. I got more distance and accuracy from my Epons they are fantastic.

Budi

Forgot to add that IMO the project X shaft feels so good on the Epon wedge.

Thanks for the reply Budi,

Once you put the Yururi into play, let us know how they stack up with the Epon.

thanks again,

Finally after the testing on the weekends, the tourstage wedge is finally bumped out! I personally think the Epons are soft, nice and easy to hit! However, I will keep the Epons for future use. I will use the Yururis for now. I love how they just stop where i want them to, plus they look so unique that it creates so much attention! Its harsh but i like em just as raw as it looks!!!! I got new fourteen wedges today 52* will put them into play this thursday!

Will post more on those!

I don't think so, i am in the cookware business as well, and many visits to Japan i have not seen their products in the market, cross checked with my Japanese technician who quoted "epon, they used to make cookware". I was looking at the company's old catalogs collected from visits to Tokyo Big Site that 's how i stumble across their old catalogs.
