I am a longtime Prov1 player then prov1x player. Now I've been playing this ball for about 2 weeks now and about 4 rounds. I am extremely impressed with this ball and I think I will probably continue to use it throughout the season. I get incredible carry with this ball with minimal spin. Yet enough spin the ball checks up on the green. The cover is soft so feel is very nice very similar to the prov1's. I know the v1x's are supposed to be minimal spin and extra carry, but I don't think carry as much as the hx tours. the spin rate, now I'm not a launch monitor, but I think it's very close maybe even less than the v1x's. short game putting around the green and pitches and chips under 120 the ball absolutely performed. I hit a 100 yard punch shot under a tree 10 yards ahead of me with the ball not getting over 20 feet over a bunker right in front of the green and had the ball check up within 15 feet. I can't do that with just any ball. Checked my ball no shredding, although I have heard some people complaining about shredding I haven't noticed any. Although I don't think I'll ever get used to paying $12 a sleeve for callaway ballls 8O

i finally got to try these out today. found a local shop carrying them for $35/dozen.

this is probably my new favorite ball as far as playability goes. long off the tee, holds its line, good spin around the greens. ive been using the prov1 for a while and like it except for getting a little too much spin on approches. with the hx tour i seem to stop the ball where it lands instead of spinning back. i did suck one back about 15ft, but i was really trying to make it come back.

the only drawback that i found was the durability. i used a total of two balls in my round, by the end they were both pretty beat up. i can get a couple of rounds from a proV before it gets retired. if i can keep getting them for $35 i might continue to play with them. if not ill go back to the nxt tour or the exception.

This is a great ball. The distances are great. The ball seems to do just about everything really good--stay on line, long distance, check up, play in the wind. The durability is ok. You want to keep this ball in the short stuff. If you're into high priced balls, this is a very good choice.
The only thing I didn't like about it was the softness of it. The core feels hard, but the cover feels hard. I actually prefer the HX red or even the 2 piece.
But this is still my ball choice in tourney play!

I finally had a chance to play some golf with these and I do believe I have found THE best golf ball for me. Great feel, distance, and holds up well in the wind.

Got 2 dozen with American Express Rewards points. Great ball, with all the great characteristics of ProV1 except.... durability. This thing shreds to pieces. I can't go two holes without a scuff mark. One ball does not last a round. I have to use two or three balls in a round and then retire them.

For the price, the U-Tri Tours are much better. Gonna try the Srixon UR-X due to great reports.

This is a great balland the best premium ball in the wind. The only thing I don't like about it is that it scuffs up quick.

Bought one sleeve and used them up in wo rounds...they literally disentigrated after each stroke.

Great performance...but not worth the replacement cost.

Love2....you have got to be crazy to try the Srixon UR-X if you give a rip at all about durability. I'm a major Japan Dunlop ho but I've never come across a brand of balls that shreds easier than the high end Srixons. Buyer beware.

Gawd, I agree!

Those things started shredding from the moment I THOUGHT about bringing out my wedge!

At least for me, compared to both to Pro V1 and V1x, the Cally's didn't shred as much. I think it's just as long as the 1x too, and I know that puts me in the minority of people to use the ball..

I think this is the best ball out. I do not have a problem with it nicking. Even on wedge shots.

I really like the tour.
Has not yet replaced my X by any means however I play HX ball any time I can.

Commonly play:
1- ProV1/1X
2-HX Tour Black
3-Nike ONE Black
4- UR-X
