The 950 Utility shaft sounds interesting. Do you know what tip size will be offered? I'm interested in the AF-901 with a light weight steel shaft but prefer Nippon over Shimada. Also, will these be lighter than the N.S.Pro Utility shaft that comes with the X-UT?

The new UT shaft is a taper tip and a NS950 UT version, Also found out that the new 999 shaft coming out is for the U.S market only.

The Super Peenings have actually been around a real long time.

From heaviest to lightest/fastest to slowest swing speed the Colored Super Peening are as follows:
Blue
Orange
Red
Brown

The key feature for the the SP series is the shaft's balance point, for all models it's right at the 50% point of the shaft creating a neutral shaft that is made to go straight/ better dispersion.

I've tried the Red, it was very smooth. There are different kick points on each shaft, Blue is high, Orange and Red are mid kickers, and Brown is a low kick. Blue shafts get up to 130g and Browns go as low as 106g. The are know for their solid feel and control. Very popular in wedges . The blues will produce a lower trajectory than standard NS Pros.

NS Pros Number series have long taken over as the choice steel shaft from Nippon though there are still those who are impartial to SP shafts.

By the way the Super Peening shafts are steel iron shafts. I just realized P1 may be talking about the SD600 graphite shafts above... those have been around for over a year and are okay shafts, not quite rated up there with the big boys like Tour AD and Axiv and Diamana.... etc.
