I am fiending for a re-incarnation of the MR-23 line from bridgestone/tourstage.
I know Maru is mostly playing stuff from the x-series(460P, cb irons etc.) and he is still using '04 versions of his wedges but I would love to see them bring something back under his signature line. I mean the stuff was always limited anyways so why not continue on? Any news or info for '08? This post has been edited by Goshinboku: Dec 22 2007, 11:06 AM |

My belief is no, and mostly because Maru himself has not been doing so well on tour and his popularity has dipped significantly in Japan. As you've probably seen in all the magazines, they don't give him much coverage at all. Ryuji Imada and Ai-chan get far more for Japanese Golfers. The peak of the MR-23 craze was when he was actually doing well on tour and winning. During that time it was Maru everything!
Then again, Maru is Bridgestone Tourstage's most costly pro on staff so maybe they will make an attempt at it to re-coup some of their investment in him. |
