finally tracked down a eldik gdo 1/100. would have preferred a new one but this one was in ok condition. first of all i have tried many putters but the only ones to stay long in the bag are the gauge/gfield neo mallet putters. the leap was my first, eldik was my second and now the eldik gdo. of all the putters i have owned this one seems to be the best feeling and best overall performing putter for my sort of putting style/stroke.

first of the weight is just perfect not to mention the dual tungsten inserts make the putter feel so stable most especially on the backstroke. this certainly feels a tad more stable compared to my eldik. the feel at impact is also much softer compared to the eldik. the face of the gdo is a 3rtnc milled face as oppossed to a non-milled face of the eldik. eldik also felt a tad clickier than the gdo. both have excellent worksmanship althogh the gdo seems to have been made with higher quality in mind. love the finish but would have preffered it in black like the sp and original eldik.

putting wise it is damn straight, zero twisting in the backstoke and ball tracks nicely. very similar to my leap. both leap and gdo left me short of the hole. i guess this is attributed to the softer feel of the putter face. i am used to a non milled face and nice click at impact, and something this soft will need some adjustment. will most likely have the shaft extended to a 35" length as it is currently in 33"

all in all i feel very lucky to have found one of these limited putters. so impressed in fact that im still searching for an eldik sp. its so interesting how a putter can just inspire confidence in ones game and easily shafte 4-5 strokes a round. will have pics of my eldik and gdo side by side soon.
