I'm not familiar with Mamiya shafts. The 6064 says 269cpm which seems a stiff but about bending the shaft with my hands, it seems soft. What does this shaft flex correspond to in say a Fuji rombax equivalent? I've played the 6W06 Stiff.

The Axiv CPM ratings are taken raw (with no grip) and unfinished with a 7" clamp (others measure with 5") and because of this the CPM numbers are skewed higher.

My finished guess of that shaft at 45" is around 251-256cpm which would be similar to the 6W06.

I play 6564M which is similar to 6064 and my buddy plays Fuji 6W06 stiff. We both play with same head TM 460, his Fuji feels stiffer but just slightly. My 6564 has a lot more kick through impact. Hope this helps.

The rombax's will always play a little bit stiffer than the Axiv's but sammo is right, more kick in the axiv.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping it'll play a tad softer then the 6w06 Stiff but hope it won;t be too high spinning. I'm taking it out for a round now although the legth I suspect is 45.25 or 45.5 which is longer than what I am used to.
