Hi all

I just like to share with you all a set of wedges I just picked up while shopping in Bangkok, Thailand. I think is wedge has been posted here before but I can't seem to find the pics anymore.

It’s by a Japanese company called “The Mystery” . I was told that this particular wedge model is one of few that are actually forged from pure steel. The 2 other known brands are from Bridgestone-Tourstage and Miura. The Bridgestone model is so rare that the Japanese guy who sold me this wedge only ever saw it on a website. The one by Miura only has pure steel on the face, the rest of the wedge being forged from alloy steel.

The Mystery wedge MW-006 only comes in 2 lofts – 52 and 57 and I believe it is a component club since the shop made up the wedge to my specs. I had the set bent to 54 and 58 degrees and swingweighted to D4 and D5.5 respectively, 35.5 inches S300 on both with 3 wraps on royal blue iomic grips.

The finish is dark almost like flame or nickle finish but the most stunning thing about the wedge is the milling marks.

Review? Nothing much to say except that the wedges are the softest and will spins like crazy without cutting the cover of the ball too much!

Enjoy the pictures.

The website is www.mystery-jp.com

Cheers
-Keng

Nice find!
I wonder if these are similar to the Tourstage Maru Spec. wedges...

The Mystery looks even better in person. I've only hit a few shots with it at the driving range but couldn't recall the shaft that was on it. I thought it was pretty soft and sets up really nice. It puts a very good spin on the ball but did not shred it into pieces like most other new wedges.
