Okay guys... Here's my story. I picked up golf 3 years ago and I'm virtually addicted by it. I would be going to the range every other day. There should be info on my current WITB below. Right now, I'm in the final stages of a swing change. I just played a round with a buddy and tried his MP-60. I LOVED IT!!! (Never hit a blade or players' CB before, apparently). Now I'm trying to find a blade for myself. My handicap is around 15 right now. 2 months ago, it was 28. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna improve further in few months.

Now, to get to the point, I need some recommendations. After I browsed through TSG forums, I see so many sweet blades. I liked miura CB-301 and srixon ZR-600. But I'm such a newb that maybe you guys can help me finding a set that suits me best. The reason I liked miura CP-301 is because of what I read from people. It seems to hit good. I liked the srixon because it looked sleek. I'm trying to see if I can find a good combination of appearance and performance.

I realized that TSG has such a complete selection of J-Spec equipments, I will most probably buy from TSG. So, if you guys would post a reply or PM me, I would really appreciate it. Admins, maybe you can give me a rundown of suggestions and prices?

I would like to say THANKS SO MUCH in advance!!!!

Hit em well,
Newbie (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_emoticons/TSG_Smileys/tsg_smiley_drool.gif)

I'd like to add that I like the look of Epon Type J. The reviews seems to be very good as well.

We have a winner!!!

If you plan to improve and play well you cannot go wrong with the EPON J's.

15hcp, IMO dont play a blade or players CB, go with a mid size CB, i.e Srixon WR, XXIO Forged, PRGR is501, Mizuno JPX, R7 Forged, Yururi Gekku CNC, Tourstage VIQ Forged etc, ONOFF Forged etc.. etc..

Those irons that Tourspecgolfer mentioned are for mid to low handicappers. They aren't necessarily game improvement because they provide great feel and playbility while still being forgiving (and forged)! They all have pretty amazing reviews and are all very very good irons. You will learn quickly that there are so many choices from JDM sets that can be very overwhelming! ^_^

keeps changing every week...but in a match above is what I will play.

i think you need a bit more analysis before deciding what set of irons you should use

1) Break your game into three parts - (i) off the tee, (ii) the irons shots and then (iii) chipping and putting

Figure out which is costing you strokes and how much. Be careful on the iron shots... you need to take into account whether poor tee shots leave you in positions that you need to make up with iron shots.. so if you are not successful with irons because of that...you need to play some rounds, playing iron shots from not so bad lies

2) think what led you to go down from 28-15.... which part of the game,....

if you iron handicap is low.. i would say 10-14 greens out of 18 with 3-4 near misses, you can consider a players cavity or forgiving blades....assuming you are willing to put in the effort to keep or improve from that level... if not, go for more forgiving cavities....

The type Js are reportedly great (i have never played them) somwhere between cavity and blades.....The good blades are mp 33, x blade 2, Miura Blades, fourteen (limited to those I have played) Mr-23s are good.. but i have to wait to play my first round with them..

The players cavity.... numerous options to list here.. mizuno, epons, yururi.. Miura CB 1006, Tourstage CBs... I have not played the epons or yururi..but they are reportedly nice....

Tourspecgolfer has listed some real good options if you looking for the more forgiving cavities.

You can't buy better than Epon type J .
I've been playing golf since I was 8 years old , I've had a great life from golf and what it brings.
Those type J irons are the best irons I've ever played with and at the age of 54 I can tell you I've a few sets of irons but nothing like these.

Also buy the Epon X type wedges simply awesome for feel and control.

Happy golfing.
