First, a Short background story on how it came in to my possession. I have tried out a couple drivers in the last year (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_emoticons/TSG_Smileys/atsg_smilie_roll.gif) looking for the right one. Not a fan of the Deep Face models. Parputt had been sending me pm's telling me I have something you might like..."try it out, reshaft it, beat the hell out of it" I think were his words or something to that effect. I said ok but I have one more on the way to try...I'll get back to you. This exchange went on for a couple weeks as a few drivers were delivered and then shipped back out a day after testing. Finally, I came to my senses and agreed to his generous offer. Took delivery of a Tour Issue Burner TP at the same time as the Mizuno. Mizuno kicked its tail in every category including distance...wasn't even close.

Here is my short review after 6 rounds(shaft Fuji 660TR S):

Appearance--it's 410cc's so it doesn't look like a small appliance. Kind of a soft, metallic blue very similar to the original KZG Gemini heads. Head size/shape is perfect for me.

Feel/Sound--Incredible is the word to describe this head. I am big on feel. If it doesn't feel or sound good no matter how far it goes it's off to the BST..i.e any driver from Callaway. I have played the 510DF and the 300Tour and neither has anything on this head....really.

Performance--Very hot face for a conforming driver. I swing the driver at 100mph so 300 yd drives are not in my future so I won't say I gained 30-40 yards overnight. I played y'day with a friend who is always longer off the tee by 10-15 yards and I was much closer and even outdrove him on a few holes much to his surprise and mine.
It is forgiving but there is a distance loss off the toe or heel as there should be.
Ballflight is medium which takes some getting used to after all the high lauch head/shaft combos I have played recently.

In closing, best driver I have ever played and a huge thanks to Phil(parputt) for the gesture and saving me loads of cash and time. You will not see another driver in my bag this year...bets on this claim are accepted and encouraged.

Mizuno is very under-rated in the driver and FW department especially in North America. They are way better than say TM, IMO in terms of performance and quality. Too bad they dont sell the Japanese line in NA.

I would agree 100%. I had no expectations going in but was blown away.
