With all of Tourspec's offering, it seems there is a sea of wedges to choose from?

I am looking to get some new forged wedges.

Looking at the 3 different Epon models, Yururi Jersey.. .other suggestions?
Looking to keep proices to about $200/wedge

I prefer something that doesnt rust.
What would you recommend and why?

TIA

Hey Fe,

Epon has great feel and looks. Super performers. And as B said, lots of options and models to choose from.

Tourstages new wegdge is also a looker and apparently puts a lot of spin on the ball.

Definitely a lot of options to choose from but I'd go for one of these two.

The Miura forged Cleveland 588's, if you can find them. Best wedges I've played in a long, long time from a combination of grind, feel and control (very versatile). Plus they just look awesome!!

Just got 52/56/60 Epon Technitys in satin. Surpassing my expectations in terms of feel and playability. Had mizuno and bridgetone wedges previously and these are better all-round.

Thanks for your suggestions so far.
I would be moving from Ping Eye wedges and I know they really bite and shred balls/greens.

I will still be using my Ping Eye 2 Lob wedge as its been so realiable. Just switching up my irons and Epon really is one of my top choices. The 07 Tourstage wedges look great too.

Question about the Epons. I see 3 dirfferent models: X, HG & Technicity.
Can anyone explain the mains differences between them?

The X and Technity are quite similar in shape and dimensions but with different finishes and slightly different grooves. They are both made from soft S20C. The X has the Copper finish which oxidizes and changes over time but gives a very soft feel, it is also available in satin and for a limited with NiCr20. The Technity has the sharper grooves which spin like mad but can be tough on balls sometimes, it comes in Satin and a Black finish only, I think it was available in NiCr20 for a limited time too. The HG is only available in copper and has 3 lofts only (the X and Technity have 5 loft choices). It is also S20C. The HG top width and sole width are identical with the back "scooped" out for a super high center of gravity. This apparently produces a low trajectory high spin kind of shot. I've only tried the X model and I love it. Straight and soft feel. Good spin. Durable finish.

Cast carbon steel: Titleist Vokey - nobody beats it. Bob Vokey is the greatest wedge maker in the world. I've tried a lot of forged carbon steel wedges (Tourstage 2005 model, Miura and Mizuno Mp-T) and to me Vokey's are second to none.

Forged carbon steel: Tourstage X-wedge 2007 (I'm tempted to buy a trio of these from Chris.....very tempted if it was not for the......), Callaway X-Tour (forged 1020 carbon steel and made by second greatest wedge designer in the world: Roger Cleveland), Mizuno Custom Made Mp-R, Miura Forged, Scratch Forged and Epon Forged - you can't go wrong with either of these wedges.

Both very nice wedges with lots of spin. The V3 is a popular seller in Japan as it's geared more towards the mid and better player, while the J-Spec has the wider sole, bigger head and is geared towards the average to high handicap golfer.
