DREV by NGS has a new line coming in 2007. Its supposed to be BIG!

Im already testing their new FW heavy weight FW shafts. Should be good as NGS is a Botique shaft maker known for making the best one off shafts on the JPGA tour. Expect us to be promoting them much more by mid year.

Bag #1
Epon AF101 with Machline 7061 Proto
Miura 5W with Machline 7061
Honma Duel Attack 19*
Lepon 23* w/Machline 65
Matsumoto 4-pw with AXIV Graphite
Epon 50* AW
Yururi 57* SW
Hiro Matsumoto MG 8 / Whitlam Devon SPI-3

Now that I have played 13 games (in 8 days) with my Mach Line 5350 Proto fitted to a Fourteen JC606, I can definitely recommend the NGS as a replacement to the stock Fourteen shaft. It gives a nice strong kick and launch the ball high without ballooning. I actually prefer this shaft over my ZCOM MW54.

NGS is a smaller hand made shaft company that can do one off shafts and any amount of ply. They produce high end test prototypes for several OEMs tour players but not the retail models.

Does anyone know the specs (models available) in the Drev lineup with the purple/blue color scheme? I would love to have one in X-flex (265cpm's) in the 68gr range. Has anyone actually seen this shaft in person; is it as cool looking in person as it looks in the photos? If someone has one I have a few brand new Oziks (Code 6 or 7 in X) and a Axiv-V 7076 pull in mint condition to trade as well. I might even pull my brand new TP-7 (stiff flex) out of my tour issue Superquad for the right option here. Talk to me boys...

The color scheme of the Drev line is definitely cool (seen it myself but dont recall model) regardless of performance. There is one Drev pro or tour S on sale now for$150 (almost half price) at TSG JDM summer inventory sale. I bought the Machline 7060 S and installed it on a Miura 390cc head I also bought on the sale. The Drev Pro is, I believe mid or high 60 g and probably play stiffer than the Machline7060 which is for average players. If you read Japanese, you can get spec from www.golf-ngs.co.jp but I have a feeling the Drev pro would be comparable to your v7076. Perhaps Gocchin can chime in. FYI, my Machline 7060 S came in at 251cpm for 45" with a 200 g. head.

ps: You can't go wrong with a new Drev for $150 even if it is a tad soft (on spec) for you.

While I have never played the Drev shaft, I do have 2 Machline and I can attest that they do play a little stiffer than comparable weight classes of Fuji and GD. I would have gotten the Drev on sale if it was a softer flex. Did not think I can handle that one. My Machline Proto 5350 R flex is great and comes in at 243 cpm at 45" on my fourteen 606. It is very difficult to describe the Drev color since it is sort of mult and changing depending on light, like those new paint job on street racing integra or Honda (ok not quite.)

I've already replied ben by PM but I found drev's are pretty stiff. the one in the Clearance, the Pro Stiff (13.5kg) is 68g, 2.9tourque and mid kick and looks like this:

Damn, I would have to wait for the next sale for another cheap Drev. (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_emoticons/TSG_Smileys/tsg_smiley_crazy.gif)

The purple/blue scheme shaft is the DREV tour 350 and DREV light 350 series. It looks like the X flex in the DREV tour is 64 grams with a 3.2 torque.

I'm in the process of purchasing the Drev Pro S; does anyone have any good feedback on how this shaft plays? Is there any specific tipping/install instructions that I should take note of? This is my first Drev and I'm fired u
