What's in the Bag?:
Check Out My Sig!

Honma continues to release their slower swing speed models as well as some players blades, cavity backs and wedges from last year. With almost no presence in the USA we were kind enough to sit down and have a chat with them on a strategy proposal and design elements that would better suite their gear to the American Golfer. Stay tuned we have something exciting in the works coming in 2007 for you guys with Honma Beres. Check out their new models, lots of this is geared toward the slower swing speed or older player. they do have the 9 series for the single digit player.

Wow! I'm surprised you boys aren't drooling. These are amongst the cream of the crop for high-end golf clubs! All these clubs are 3 star Honmas. So you're looking at $4000 irons and $1000 driver. And they go up to 5 star... (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_emoticons/TSG_Smileys/tsg_smiley_pimp.gif)

Here's some of the Honma accessories:

I must say, I do like the looks of the 9 series blades!! Very nice.

Oh were drooling Jacque, just so many pics to look at. I think most of the boys are still at the "Eye Candy" post!! (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_emoticons/TSG_Smileys/tsg_smilie_laugh.gif)

Love the look of the blades and the wedges. The utility looks interesting too. But not a fan of the gold inlay in the irons.

I too like the 902 irons and the TW911 woods. I don't know if I could pay that much and then actually hit them or if I'd just put them in a vase and set them as the center piece on the dining room table.

The gold inlay shows that it's 3 star besides the shaft. Mostly for bragging rights. The 1 & 2 star are less flashy and like half the cost!

I like the looks of the MG801 and feel confident at set up. IMO, Honma is not expensive. Yes, you can spend over $15,000 for a set of 5 star irons or settle for the "affordable" $1300 0 star (NSPRO) set. And the 1 star drivers are only $665, just a little lower than the average Japan driver.

Ah, now that makes things clearer and answer a question I had about the gold inlay. Flashy it definitely is, but I'm not sure I want to attract that much attention at any price. But I must say for the golf world bling bling it's the shizzle.

The 9 series clubs are very, very nice. I tried the TW911 woods and they are very solid and allow you to work the ball (kind of like the X-Drive series for Honma/Beres).

Can I get more information on that 50th anniversary stuff - VERY cool. I'd love to try some Honma wood woods.

On a side note, I've hit 4 or 5 star stuff before in Asia. All kinds of gold and stuff all over the clubhead. They did say around 15k for them but at the time, I thought they were kidding :)
